Partita for piano was written for pianist Tinna Thorsteinsdˇttir and dedicated to her. She premiered the piece at the ReykjavÝk Arts Festival in two solo recitals; in Laugaborg in Eyjafj÷r­ur and in Ţmir, ReykjavÝk.
Partita is in five movements.

Rhapsody was composed in 1986 and premiered by Gu­rÝ­ur St. Sigur­ardˇttir
at the Summer Festival of Musica Nova in 1987, but Sigur­ardˇttir has subsequently played it both in Norway and the United States.
